Sony has seemingly recognized the inevitability of Microsoft\u2019s acquisition of Activision Blizzard<\/a> going through, and has signed an agreement with Microsoft to keep Call of Duty available on PlayStation for the next 10 years. (via<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Als Teil der Streitereien rund um die von Microsoft geplante \u00dcbernahme von Activision Blizzard hat der Tech-Konzern seiner Konkurrenz einen Deal angeboten, der ihnen f\u00fcr 10 Jahre lang Zugriff auf das Call of Duty Franchise zusichert. W\u00e4hrend Nvidia und Nintendo das Ganze gerne angenommen haben, so wehrte sich Sony in den vergangenen Monaten aber extrem gegen jegliche Form von Abmachung. Diese Situation hat sich mit der Niederlage der FTC gegen Microsoft vor Gericht in dieser Woche aber scheinbar ge\u00e4ndert.<\/p>\n

Einer am gestrigen Sonntag erfolgten Ank\u00fcndigung von Phil Spencer zufolge haben sich Sony und Microsoft wohl endlich einigen k\u00f6nnen. Sony akzeptierte die unausweichliche \u00dcbernahme von Activision Blizzard und unterzeichnete einen Vertrag mit Microsoft. Diese Abmachung sichert Sony ebenfalls zu, dass sie das CoD Franchise f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 10 Jahre auf ihren verschiedenen Konsolen anbieten d\u00fcrfen.<\/p>\n

Diese Abmachung ist dabei dann auf genau 10 Jahre limitiert und sie betrifft wirklich nur CoD. Theoretisch k\u00f6nnte Microsoft also alle anderen Spiele von Activision Blizzard auf den PC und ihre Konsolen limitieren. Solch eine Ma\u00dfnahme w\u00fcrde Microsoft nach all ihren Versprechungen und Reden \u00fcber die Freiheit der Kunden aber ziemlich heuchlerisch wirken lassen. Trotzdem liegt das Ganze auf jeden Fall im Bereich des M\u00f6glichen. Es w\u00e4re schlie\u00dflich nicht das erste Mal, dass ein Konzern ein kleineres Studio schluckt und alle Spiele zu Exklusivtiteln macht.<\/p>\n
