The streaming site said the new rules won\u2019t apply to users based on \u201cindividual statements or discussions\u201d on a channel but to users \u201cwhose online presence is dedicated to (1) persistently sharing (2) widely disproven and broadly shared (3) harmful misinformation topics,\u201d the new policy states. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/3\/3\/22960269\/twitch-new-misinformation-policy-ban-covid\">via<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Am gestrigen Donnerstag ver\u00f6ffentlichten die Mitarbeiter von Twitch einen neuen Beitrag auf ihrer offiziellen Internetseite, der die Nutzer der Plattform \u00fcber eine weitere \u00c4nderung an den Richtlinien in Kenntnis setzen sollte. Diese Anpassung der Community Guidelines soll wohl die Verbreitung von Falschinformationen \u00fcber Livestreams etc. verhindern und die daf\u00fcr verantwortlichen Personen bestrafen. Wer in Zukunft extrem h\u00e4ufig falsche Informationen zu weltbewegenden Themen verbreitet, der kann daf\u00fcr einen dauerhaften Bann auf Twitch erhalten.<\/p>\n<p>Der Ank\u00fcndigung von Twitch zufolge werden sie diese neue Richtlinie aber nur bei Nutzern\/Streamern durchsetzen, die 3 bestimmte Anforderungen erf\u00fcllen. Die drei Kriterien sind die (1) beharrliche Verbreitung (2) weithin widerlegter und verbreiteter (3) sch\u00e4dlicher Falschinformationen \u00fcber Twitch oder andere Dienste im Internet. Twitch stuft diese Menschen als <span class=\"hiddenGrammarError\">\u201c<\/span><span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">harmful<\/span> <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">misinformation<\/span> <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">superspreaders<\/span><span class=\"hiddenGrammarError\">\u201d<\/span> ein, deren Content nicht mehr l\u00e4nger akzeptabel f\u00fcr die Plattform ist. Die Seite hat sich f\u00fcr diese drei Kategorien entschieden, weil sie zusammen angeblich das gr\u00f6\u00dfte Risiko f\u00fcr potenzielle Sch\u00e4digungen in der echten Welt darstellen. Einmalige Aussagen mit falschen Angaben oder sachliche Diskussionen sollen nicht bestraft werden.<\/p>\n<p>Ansonsten betonte Twitch in der Ank\u00fcndigung recht deutlich, dass sich das Ganze h\u00f6chstwahrscheinlich nicht auf die beliebtesten Streamer von Nutzern auswirken wird. Zus\u00e4tzlich dazu gibt es bisher wohl recht wenig extreme Verbreiter von Falschinformationen auf der Plattform. Trotzdem ist die Firma sich dar\u00fcber bewusst, was f\u00fcr negative Konsequenzen die Verbreitung solcher Falschinformationen haben k\u00f6nnte. Daher m\u00f6chten sie das Ganze schon jetzt unterbinden und einschr\u00e4nken.<\/p>\n<p>Auch wenn Twitch diese \u00c4nderung scheinbar als recht positive Entwicklung einstuft, so rechne ich pers\u00f6nlich kaum wirklichen Auswirkungen. Die drei Anforderungen sind recht streng formuliert und betroffen wohl wirklich nur Kan\u00e4le, die gezielt falsche Informationen verbreiten. Davon gibt es nat\u00fcrlich relativ wenig Kan\u00e4le auf Twitch. Die meisten Falschinformationen stammen aber von normalen Twitch-Kan\u00e4len, deren Streamer sich mit anderen Dingen besch\u00e4ftigen und nur nebenbei ihre eigenen falschen Ansichten oder zuf\u00e4llig in den sozialen Netzwerken aufgeschnappte <span class=\"hiddenGrammarError\">&#8222;Fakten&#8220;<\/span> teilen.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h1 class=\"tsc-blogpost-title\">Preventing Harmful Misinformation Actors on Twitch<\/h1>\n<p>Every day, people come together on Twitch to build communities that celebrate a variety of interests, passions, and talents. We\u2019re proud that Twitch can bring people together \u2013 but we do not believe that individuals who use online services to spread false, harmful information, have a place in our community. While these individuals are not prevalent on Twitch, they could cause significant harm if allowed on our service. That\u2019s why today we\u2019re updating our <a href=\"https:\/\/safety.twitch.tv\/s\/article\/Community-Guidelines?language=en_US#9SpamScamsandOtherMaliciousConduct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spam, Scams and Malicious Conduct Policy<\/a> to prohibit <b>Harmful Misinformation Actors<\/b> from using our service.<\/p>\n<p>Before we continue, we need to make one thing clear: <b>this update will likely not impact you or the streamers you love on Twitch<\/b>. Our goal is to prohibit individuals whose online presence is dedicated to spreading harmful, false information from using Twitch. We will not enforce against one-off statements containing misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve partnered with over a dozen researchers and experts to understand how harmful misinformation spreads online and ensure our approach to mitigating its risks in our community is effective for Twitch. We&#8217;ve learned that Harmful Misinformation Actors account for a disproportionate amount of damaging, widely debunked misinformation online. Together, we\u2019ve identified three characteristics that all of these actors share: their online presence \u2013 whether on or off Twitch \u2013 is dedicated to (1) persistently sharing (2) widely disproven and broadly shared (3) harmful misinformation topics, such as conspiracies that promote violence. We\u2019ve selected these criteria because taken together they create the highest risk of harm including inciting real world harm. <b>We will only enforce against actors who meet all three of these criteria<\/b>, and our Off-Service investigations team will be conducting thorough reviews into each case. You can report these actors by sending an email to <a href=\"mailto:OSIT@twitch.tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OSIT@twitch.tv<\/a> with the account name and any available supporting evidence.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this update, we will continue to take action on misinformation that targets specific communities under our Hateful Conduct &amp; Harassment Policy, and will also continue to take action on content that encourages others to engage in physically harmful behavior under our Self-Destructive Behavior Policy.<\/p>\n<p>Community safety is not an end state, and we are always evolving our approach in accordance with expert guidance and trends in our community or the wider industry.
