Am 15. September 2024 werden in Los Angeles ein weiteres Mal die Emmys verliehen, um herausragende Leistungen in der TV-Branche auszuzeichnen. Aufgrund des in 2023 durchgeführten Drehbuchautoren- und Schauspielerstreiks ist diese Preisverleihung die mittlerweile bereits zweite Veranstaltung dieser Art in 2024. Da der 15. September nicht mehr unbedingt extrem weit weg ist, wurden gestern Abend nun auch endlich die Nominierungen für diese Emmy-Awards veröffentlicht.
Diese Preisverleihung wird recht eindeutig von dem Historiendrama „Shogun„ und dem teilweise amüsanten Drama „The Bear„ dominiert. Während Shogun mit 25 Nominierungen eindeutig führt, so liegt the Bear mit 23 Nominierungen auf einem soliden zweiten Platz. Beide Shows haben diese potenziellen Preise mehr als verdient und wer sie noch nicht gesehen hat, der sollte dieses Versäumnis unbedingt nachholen.
Mich persönlich freut besonders, dass die Fallout-Serie von Amazon zumindest 17 Nominierungen erhalten hat. Dazu gehören unter anderem zwei an Walton Goggins gegangene Nominierungen in„ Outstanding Drama Series„ und „Outstanding Lead Actor„. Da Goggins vielleicht das beste Element dieser Show darstellt, würde ich diese Nominierungen als durchaus gerechtfertigt einstufen.
