In Las Vegas gibt es bspw solche ‚Robo-Shuttles‘ (autonom fahrende Mini-Busse), dort sitzt ebenfalls ein Begleiter mit einem Xbox-Controller drin, der im Notfall eingreift und korrigiert. Die fahren nicht sehr schnell (12-16km/h ungefähr), daher ist das kein Problem.
Der große Vorteil am Xbox-Controller ist tatsächlich, dass viele Personen bereits durch Games mit dem Design und der Bedienung vertraut sind und zum anderen – und das ist imho der gewichtigere Punkt – es sehr gute APIs mit ausgezeichneter Dokumentation von MS & einigen 3rd Parties dafür gibt.
Find ich jetzt gar nicht so abwegig. Ich erinnere mich, dass das US Militär u.ä. ihre Bomben Entschärfungsroboter auch mit Controllern steuert.
ihre drohnen auch, weil so gut wie jeder drohnenpilot die steuerung so intuitiv beherrscht. und der controller kostet 50 dollar statt irgendwas im 5stelligen bereich wie früher die eigenlösung
Tatsächlich werden viele Dinge mit dem Xbox Controllern gesteuert. Ich hab damals auf N24 ne Doku über irgendwelche Kampfdrohnen gesehen, die wurden auch mit den damaligen Xbox Controllern gesteuert.
