Disney+ has not only revealed key art for LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, but also the cast for the upcoming animated special. The new special will premiere on October 1 as part of Disney+’s Hallowstream celebration and takes place after The Rise of Skywalker. Fans will be treated to three spooky stories throughout the special told by Darth Vader’s servant. (via)
Im Jahr 2021 wird es auf Disney+ auch wieder ein Hallowstream-Event geben, welches den Nutzern des Angebots im anstehenden Oktober eine Reihe von unheimlichen Filmen präsentieren soll. Als Teil dieses vielversprechenden Ereignisses soll am 01. Oktober dann auch noch ein neues animiertes Special zu Lego Star Wars erscheinen, welches den Namen „LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales“ trägt. Das Ganze soll inhaltlich nach The Rise of Skywalker spielen und drei gruselige Star Wars Geschichten mit einer passenden Rahmenhandlung kombinieren.
Das Special dreht sich dann wohl um Poe und BB-8, die eine Notlandung auf dem Planeten Mustafar durchführen müssen und dort dann auf den Hutten Graballa, den Mechaniker Dean und Darth Vaders ehemaligen Diener Vaneé treffen. Graballa und sein Trupp sind wohl gerade damit beschäftigt, das ehemalige Schloss von Vader in ein Luxus-Hotel rund um Sith umzubauen. Beim Erforschen des Schlosses erzählt Vaneé den Helden des Specials dann drei unheimliche Geschichten rund um uralte Artefakte und ikonische Bösewichte der Lore. Gleichzeitig wacht eine böse Macht in dem Schloss aus ihrem Schlummer auf, deren Entfesslung natürlich durch die Charaktere verhindert werden muss.
Wie man es von einem Lego Special erwarten würde, scheint die erzählte Geschichte sich selbst nicht unbedingt ernst zu nehmen. Das Ganze verbindet also ein wenig Horror mit lustigen Momenten und der Welt von Star Wars. Wer sowohl Lego als auch Star Wars mag, der sollte an diesem Special vermutlich seine Freude haben. Ansonsten ist das Ganze natürlich nicht Kanon, weshalb die Verantwortlichen diese Produktion theoretisch dafür nutzen könnten, um einige der eher unbekannten Sith-Lords aus Legends einem breiteten Publikum zu präsentieren.
After the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” Poe and BB-8 must make an emergency landing on the volcanic planet Mustafar where they meet the greedy and conniving Graballa the Hutt who has purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is renovating it into the galaxy’s first all-inclusive Sith-inspired luxury hotel. While waiting for his X-Wing to be repaired, Poe, BB-8, Graballa, and Dean (a plucky and courageous young boy who works as Graballa’s mechanic) venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars. As Vaneé spins his tales and lures our heroes deeper into the shadowy underbelly of the castle, a sinister plan emerges. With the help of Dean, Poe and BB-8 will have to face their fears, stop an ancient evil from rising, and escape to make it back to their friends.
