Gestern Abend veröffentlichten die Entwickler von Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls einen neuen Beitrag auf ihrer Communityseite, der ihre Fans daran erinnern sollte, dass das Ingame Event „Finsternis in Tristram“ in den nächsten Tagen erneut in diesem Titel stattfinden wird. Die erste Phase des Events wird bereits am morgigen Freitag, den 31. Dezember 2021 im Spiel beginnen. Das vollständige Ereignis ist dann ab dem 03. Januar 2021 im Spiel aktiv.

Dieses auf dem Geburtstag von Diablo 1 basierende Gedenkereignis wird es den Spielern auch dieses Mal wieder erlauben, einige im Abenteuermodus vorhandene geheimnisvolle Kultisten aufzuspüren und eine modifizierte Nachbildung der Kathedrale aus dem ersten Teil dieser Spielereihe zu besuchen. Die Besonderheit dieses Dungeons läuft darauf hinaus, dass dieser Ort von den Verantwortlichen mit wunderbarer RetroVision, klassischen Soundeffekten, eingeschränkten Animationen und altbekannten Gegnern ausgestattet wurde.

Wer an diesem Event teilnimmt und sich erfolgreich durch die modifizierte Nachtbildung der Kathedrale kämpft, der kann durch diese Tätigkeit die üblichen Belohnungen für seinen Battle.Net Account freischalten. Dazu gehören einzigartige Transmogrifikationseffekte, Erfolge, Porträts und ein Gefährte in Form des klassischen Schlächters. Sollte ein Spieler diese Inhalte noch nicht sein Eigen nennen, dann hat er bis zum 31. Januar 2022 dafür Zeit, um sich durch diesen Jubiläumsdungeon zu kämpfen.
