Die Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hat gestern Abend alle Nominierungen für die diesjährige Verleihung der Oscars enthüllt. Die Verteilung dieser Preise findet zwar erst am 10. März 2024 statt, aber es ist üblich, dass die Nominierungen früh genug enthüllt werden. In 2024 werden diese Preise in über 30 verschiedenen Kategorien verliehen, die alle entweder Filme, Regisseure, Schauspieler, Schreiber oder Musiker ehren sollen.
An der Spitze der Nominierungen steht mit satten 13 möglichen Auszeichnungen der von Christopher Nolan auf die Beine gestellte Historienfilm Oppenheimer. Darauf folgen Poor Things mit 11 Nominierungen, Killers of the Flower Moon mit 10 und Barbie mit zumindest 8. Alle diese vier Filme kämpfen zusammen mit American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives und The Zone of Interest um die Auszeichnung für den besten der vergangenen 12 Monate.
Mich persönlich erfreuen die Nominierung für Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse als bester Animationsfilm und die Nominierung für Robert Downey Jr. als bester Nebendarsteller für seinen Auftritt in Oppenheimer. Es wäre schon zu sehen, wenn beide Preise auch wirklich auf diese Weise vergeben werden.
